HOPE

Dec 7, 2025    Pastor Kevin Harvey

This message powerfully explores the transformative difference between worldly hope and godly hope. We learn that while worldly hope is wishful thinking that may or may not come to pass, godly hope is a confident expectation rooted in God's unchanging character and promises. The sermon draws us into Isaiah 9:1-2, where God promised that people walking in darkness would see a great light—a prophecy fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The message challenges us to see our dark world—filled with depression, confusion, and spiritual darkness—through the lens of faith. We're encouraged that because of Jesus, we have incredible promises: the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, purpose, transformation, wisdom, rest, renewal, and eternity.
